BADI KAHANI is a play based in India. It narrates the story of the beautiful Kanchi, the energetic Gopi, the faithful Pedthi, the musician Venu and the wicked ‘holy man’ Bhairava. It is a funny piece of drama full of magical potions, disguises, witty dialogue and audience interaction culminating in the gruesome death of Bhairava and the joining of Pedthi and Gopi, and Venu and Kanchi. All the characters learn important lessons about honesty, strength of convictions and judging others.
Mary Brennan cites Badi Kahani as “another triumph from the valiant Theatre Workshop team”
